I like how you even make the hair seem anatomical. It gives it a wonderful, sinewy kind of effect.

In the past I always found myself bored drawing hair strand-by-strand or shading it as some cartoonish blob so at a certain point I just ended up throwing spirals and extra lines in (as you’ll see I tend to do with everything else) too keep myself entertained.
